About Ashley

"I believed, therefore I spoke" (2 Cor 4:13)
I believe and therefore I write!

I was lost, alone, and felt empty. I had a longing for acceptance. But on life's journey, I met Jesus, and He accepted me as I was and loved me. Now I am never alone and my heart is taken care of. Instead of feeling sorry for myself. I choose to pour out my heart and love others, as he loves me. I work at living out my faith, live like I believe.

I wish everyone could feel this satisfaction; life of abundance... not as the world portrays it, but as Jesus gives it. He is the answer.

BIO

Growing up in the prairies had much to offer a young girl. Wide open spaces to fly free, no one to tell me I couldn't. I believed I could do anything, be anything I wanted. Don't tell me no. Plenty of animals to watch and play with, I'm not scared of most of them... if I was at one point I got over it. Surrounded by this beautiful creation and a loving Christian family, I grew close to God and was saved at a young age.

Once I started school however, things changed. Social groups are a whole other kettle of fish. Always being a loner and left out, I soon became a recluse at the back of the class that got straight A's. But even my desire to achieve and succeed at what I did, couldn't scratch the itch of needing to feel significant, to be noticed. I was desperate for acceptance by my peers.

One day, about the age of 16, Christ hit me with the reality that He was the only one who could fill this longing in my heart. He would accept me. He loved me. I asked him to fill this place in my life and He did. I was overwhelmed with peace. I am a child of God, and it doesn't matter if others accept me. Jesus wasn't accepted by everyone either. What matters to me is what my father thinks. I pray that he would put me in places to share His love with the rest of the world and challenge their hearts to turn to Him. To live what I believe.

I met the man of my dreams, literally, in 2008. He also has the same strong convictions of faith as me, if not a closer walk with the Lord than I. His parents were missionaries in Australia and the South Pacific. It was love at first sight, and destined by God. I love His plan, it's always the best! Jesus has never let me down! We had a beautiful wedding celebration on June 5, 2010. And are now travelling the continent together in an 18 wheeler for a company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
